From Sea to Soul is a portrait of life lived in rhythm with the ocean — where food is gathered by hand, patience is learned through experience, and nourishment extends beyond the body. From oysters that heal the water to early mornings shared with family, the film traces a cycle of care, effort, and belonging shaped by direct connection to the sea.
Within fisheries where Latino presence and knowledge have long been essential yet remain underrepresented and unseen, the story reveals how working with the ocean becomes a way of knowing oneself. Through angling, teaching, and shared meals, what begins in the water moves inward — into identity, purpose, and community.
